traditional: 採 At first “采” is “採”. In the Oracle bone script (jia gu wen), we can see the hand is gathering the fruit from their tree. The old Chinese book has ever recorded “采” as “彩” (colorful). Now its means “to pick”, “to select”, “harvest”. |
