traditional: 網 The old word is the net for catching birds, there are two wooden edge post and cross cord net in the middle. After that it has been added phonetic part “亡” (wang2) and become to “罔” and added “糸” to “網” in the final. However the Simplified character has turned back to write as same as the old word. |
